Have you ever got to a point where you tell yourself Enough Is Enough? Well, BGS got on the mic and had lots to say about how they got to that point and how they dealt with it. According to BGS you have to “focus on the family and the money and keep your eyes on the prize”. When it comes to relevant street soundtracks that reflect what society is going through rap crew by the name BGS which stands for Blessed Genius Souls is all about that and more.
Enough is Enough is a release featuring OG Sound City & Decarpo Dayz two thirds of the rap group BGS from Harare in Zimbabwe. Notably ChaNterTj did not contribute to the single a situation that was later explained on an interview conducted by Zimbabwe Hip Hop Award Nominee Tanaka Denglish. Enough is enough was produced by 3Dbeatz and mixed & mastered by MCLYNE Beats another talented beat maker from Zimbabwe. The song has received good rotation on local radio stations as well as features on global radio stations such as on The Naboth RIZLA Experience on ZANJ RADIO (Jamaica) and Nam Radio (UK) on their Hip Hop 263 The Other Side radio show.
For those not in the know Blessed Genius Souls burst on the scene in 2017 with songs such as Sasase and Give Me Something featuring AnonziXndr with a video shot by talented video Director LeoyV for Sasase. The music video would go on to be featured on Zimbabwe’s National TV show known as Hip Hop 263 aired to over 2 million viewers around Zimbabwe.
Apart from launching their debut EP titled Blessed BGS has been putting in a lot of work in the media as well as shutting down events. They also featured on a cypher titled Blessed which was shot by Rockers Mix. It was just a matter of time till their grind resulted in them receiving a Zimbabwe Hip Hop Award nomination in the Best Group category.
